Gib Staunton founded Staunton Career Advisors in 2016 in Charlottesville, Virginia. With over 30 years of experience, Gib has spent her entire career in education as a teacher, Director of Admissions, academic advisor, and career coach. With a Leadership Coaching Certification from George Mason University, she helps clients discover how their unique strengths and passions can translate into fulfilling career opportunities. She specializes in guiding clients toward paths that align with both their interests and aptitude. Gib is committed to helping each client build a future that feels both meaningful and attainable.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

It’s a tie between having raised 4 well adjusted, responsible, and caring citizens of the world, and walking away from a career to start my own business at age 53. 

What is something about you that might surprise people? 

I’m a competitive bridge player. I love the problem solving that comes with the game. Bridge combines intuition, team work, calculation, and some luck.
